i didn't forget you. i've just been avoiding you for some reason. not sure if its actually avoidance, or laziness, or being busy with other things.
in no particular order, here is the latest:
-watching and falling in love with Greys Anatomy
-enjoying Ugly Betty
-bought tickets for Australia, and leaving in 5 days for winter holidays! while there, will spend a week with janine and stu in melbourne followed by a few days in sydney with aussie jackie from kenya!
-dyed my hair brown
-my computer died. spent a computerless few weeks, ordered a new hd, and all is well now. maybe why i haven't blogged in forever.
-had an amazing week-end in ishigaki
-spent time in mainland okinawa
-started writing a novel, then stopped
-visited a japanese gynocologist. went better than expected.
-rowed in a hari boat race, our team came in third.
-went to a halloween party dressed as a baby with diaper (a real one- think Depends)
-made lots of soups, mostly spinach.
-ate lots of fruit for breakfast
-cut down on caffeine
-acknowledged my sugar addiction
-lost my ipod case
-had a sanshin concert
-will be playing sanshin for a new year's special next week on mtv- miyako tv
-weather cooled down, its 15 degrees today. brrrrrrr
-had a cold, got better
-did a detox
-put air in my bicycle tires
-biked a bit
-walked quite a bit
-drove a lot
-started teaching my students french- figured that since they can't speak english anyway, might as well teach them something new.
-showed them Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain. most of them slept through it.
-cooked banana bread on several occasions
-my friend mick had a baby named hana, sooo lovely
-another baby by co-worker yano, who i held in my arms. he is a week old today.
-sarah's dog fell out of the window when she was driving. she's ok though.
-recently put two duvets on my bed.
-killed some plants
-lost a few pounds
-surfed the net
-studied
-sang kareoke on a few occasions..new favorite: holding back the years by simply red.
-dvd player broke
-cleaned my fridge
-did yoga
-bought two pairs of shoes: one black, pointy, flat and cute. the other in fireengine red pvc. nicer than they sound.
that's all i can think of right now, and its really boring. but its life, i guess. bottom line though, i am doing well in my little life over here. really looking forward to the holidays and some sunshine down under!
